The Public Trustee offers independent, professional trustee and asset management services to the WA community. These include Will and Enduring Power of Attorney drafting, deceased estate administration, executor support, financial administration and trust management services.

We are a statutory body that operates under the authority of the Parliament of Western Australia. The Public Trustee’s fees and charges are regulated by the Parliament of Western Australia.

COVID-19: Coronavirus

Due to the current situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) the Public Trustee would like to advise that the following events have been cancelled and will be rescheduled in due course.

  2. WA Law Week - Wills Information Seminar (21 May)
  3. Elder Abuse Awareness Forum (17 June 2020)

Important information about COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

In order to protect the health and well-being of our staff, clients and the WA Community from the risks posed by COVID-19, the following measures have been implemented:

  • The Public Trustee will continue to operate Monday – Friday from 8.30 am – 4.30 pm.
  • Please do not enter the Public Trustee building if you are unwell, have returned from overseas within the past 14 days, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive to COVID-19. If that is the case, please contact the Public Trustee by email or telephone and staff will assist you.
  • Where possible, the Public Trustee will undertake all communications by email, post, telephone or video conference, rather than inviting clients to attend in person.
  • If you have documents to lodge, please do not bring them into the Public Trustee. Instead, please send them to the Public Trustee by email, post or fax. Contact details below.
  • Please carefully consider whether you need to come into the Public Trustee building. If you must visit in person, please observe the safety, sanitation and social distancing requirements currently in place and remain 1.5 metres from other visitors and staff. This will assist in reducing the potential for transmission of COVID-19.

Making or updating your Will

Public Trustee strongly encourages clients to consider choosing one of the following options for drafting your Will:

  • Telephone appointment
  • Videoconferencing appointment

In circumstances where a telephone or videoconferencing appointment is not possible, face-to-face office based appointments are still available. All visiting will making services for have been suspended until further notice.

WA Will Bank

We cannot accept ‘in person’ WA Will Bank deposits until further notice.

WA Will Bank deposits can ONLY be made by registered post at this time
