Support for Private Administrators

The Private Administrators' Support team can assist administrators with questions about the preparation of accounts or the roles and responsibilities of an administrator.

The Public Trustee distributes, to recently appointed administrators, a booklet called The Private Administrators' Guide. This is a tool designed to inform administrators as to their role and responsibilities. Copies of the Private Administrators’ Guide are available for download.

The Public Trustee, together with the Office of the Public Advocate, runs a 3-hour session to help Private Administrators better understand what is required of them. This session is appropriate for both new administrators and those who might require a refresher on how to prepare their annual accounts. A catering and materials cost of $25 applies, which can be reimbursed from the Represented Person’s funds.
